Texas Instruments

Project description

Structurally, tilt wall is being implemented, yet is still able to achieve 45% glass with the remainder clad in brick, limestone, and sandblasted architectural mix concrete. The complex is completed with an adjacent three-story garage which creates an intimate courtyard for private employee entry and multiple site amenities. The building itself is divided into north and south pods which house lab spaces, offices, and a host of overlapping collaboration zones for the employees. The lobby, which divides these zones, has an aforementioned employee entry as well as an elegantly designed visitor entry on the west façade, complete with a fifty-foot-tall curved louver screen and bisecting limestone wall which continues into the interior space. The interior of the lobby features a double-height space, custom monumental stair, and high-end finishes that help introduce employees and visitors to the building. The project is LEED Gold certified.
