PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Located in St. John’s, Newfoundland, the Shortall Street Apartments consists of five buildings with a combined total area of approximately 300,000 square feet, 200 rental units and 326 parking spaces. The design strategy for the project indexes the colorful “white framed” buildings located throughout the St. John’s area. Taking the idea of the white frames, the project reimagines them as terraces and occupiable space for the residents. The five buildings are also lifted off the ground to allow for covered parking spaces as well as to provide a protected outdoor space for residents to enjoy.
