Native Roots Tejon

Project description

Native Roots Tejon was a renovation of an existing 1,421 square foot gas station facility in Colorado Springs. This Native Roots gas & grass project was unique due to the fact that the entire site was located within a flood zone. This means that the existing metal and glass skinned, metal framed building had to have a concrete, waterproof “bath tub” constructed around the entire perimeter of the building from foundation to about 3’ above grade. As typical for a Native Roots gas & grass store, this facility had both sales areas for marijuana related products as well as a separate convenience store for the gas station. Typical Native Roots industrial chic interior finishes completed the design with white washed Eco oak wood siding, cold rolled steel fronts on the display cabinets, and polished/sealed concrete floors.
