Lovett Industrial breaks ground on 1.2M-SF logistics center in Conroe


Houston-based Lovett Industrial has begun construction work on a 1.2million-square-foot industrial development near Conroe. The company announced Sept. 14that it has broken ground on the NorthPort Logistics Center, an industrial development located on 75acres within the 1,655-acre Conroe Park North business park. The new industrial development is being built with financial support from Chicago-based real estate investment manager Cresset Partners.

“Due to the dramatic growth that the Port of Houston is experiencing, we are seeing more port-related large-format requirements than ever city-wide,” said Charlie Meyer president and co-owner of Lovett Industrial.

Lovett Industrial has tapped Nathan Wynn, Jason Dilee and Ed Frantz of CBRE to handle marketing and leasing efforts. Sacramento, California-based Alston Construction, which has a local office, is serving as general contractor, and Houston-based Powers Brown Architecture is the lead architect. Conroe-based Bleyl Enginerring is serving as the project's civil engineer. Lovett Industrial was formed in 2020 as an affiliate of the Frank Liu-owned Lovett Group.The company is currently operating in six U.S. markets and has more than 7 million square feet of industrial projects under construction.
