A local law firm is building itself a new $14 million headquarters.
J.D. Silva & Associates said it hopes to break ground this summer on a 42,400-square-foot office building — to be called “Lawplex” — at the intersection of Beltway 8 and U.S. Highway 288, pending permitting with the city of Pearland.
The personal injury law firm purchased the 1.9-acre parcel between the Holiday Inn Express & Suites and Bombshells Restaurant & Bar in February 2024 and initially planned to develop the building with Houston-based Z-Co.
That deal fell through, said Ernest Rojas, the law firm’s director of corporate services. The firm is now working with Houston-based Powers Brown Architecture. Bidding is currently underway for a general contractor.
