A longtime Galveston hotel has a new owner and renovation plans after completing a lengthy foreclosure process.
The Woodlands-based private equity firm Good Bull Capital said it has foreclosed on and taken outright ownership of The Commodore on the Beach, built in 1966, at 3618 Seawall Blvd. at 37th Street from Friendswood-based JMK5 Holdings.
“The acquisition marks a major step forward in the long-anticipated revitalization of one of Galveston's most recognizable coastal properties,” the company said in a news release.
