Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital breaks ground on $167M expansion


Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital has broken ground on a $167 million expansion that will add a third medical plaza, a parking garage and a larger emergency center with more operating rooms. 

When the latest updates are completed, the parking garage will have more than 600 additional parking spaces, while Medical Plaza III will provide additional clinical office space for affiliated physicians, Memorial Hermann Katy said. The projects are expected to wrap up in 2024 and 2025,respectively. Houston-based Tellepsen Construction is serving as general contractor for the project, while Powers Brown Architects and HKS Architects, which are based in Houston and Dallas  respectively, provided the design.
