A Houston-based industrial developer has started work on a 668,077-square-foot speculative distribution center near Ellington Airport in southeast Houston.
Lovett Industrial broke ground on SouthPort 45 on Scarsdale Boulevard between Interstate 45 and state Highway 3 in November. The developer currently is digging out detention ponds and expects to start vertical construction soon, Lovett Industrial President Charlie Meyer told the Houston Business Journal.
Each building will be delivered in “move-in ready” condition with a 2,500-square-foot office, dock levelers and warehouse lights. The warehouses have dock-high doors and clear heights between 32 and 36 feet.
