Lovett Industrial breaks ground on 1.2M-SF logistics center in Conroe

Houston-based Lovett Industrial has begun construction work on a 1.2 million-square-foot industrial development near Conroe. The company announced Sept. 14 that it has broken ground on the NorthPort Logistics Center, an industrial development located on 75 acres within the 1,655-acre Conroe Park North business park. The new industrial development is being built with financial support from Chicago-based real estate investment manager Cresset Partners.

North Port Logistics Center was designed as a cross-dock facility on an 8-inch slab. The building will have a 40-foot clear height, 224 dock-high doors, 190-foot truck courts and at least 273 trailer parking spots. Construction is set to be completed in the second quarter of 2023.

Lovett Industrial has tapped Nathan Wynn, Jason Dillee and Ed Frantz of CBRE to handle marketing and leasing efforts. Sacramento, California-based Alston Construction, which has a local office, is serving as general contractor, and Houston-based Powers Brown Architecture is the lead architect. Conroe-based Bleyl Engineering is serving as the projects civil engineer.
