It appears the longtime Greenspoint Mall puzzle has been solved.
Dallas-based Lincoln Property Co. said it has acquired all parcels making up the 80-acre mall property at the northeast corner of Interstate 45 and Beltway 8 in partnership with New York Life Investment Management...

Lincoln also owns the adjacent six-building office complex, City North, which was developed by Friendswood Development Co. between 1978 and 1992 and previously housed Exxon Mobil Corp. until the energy giant moved to its new campus in City Place in the Spring area.
The developers expect the mall redevelopment to create about 300 construction jobs and 1,200 permanent full-time jobs.
They plan to start demolition of the mall next month and complete the first phase of the industrial park in the first quarter of 2028.
