Developing an Internal Quality Program


A good quality control program is critical to the effective growth of any architecture practice. By recognizing the importance of quality processes, a practice can ensure that their staff is properly trained, their documents are properly developed, and that their place in the market is strong and respected. Note that there are many things to consider when establishing a quality program and any established policies should consider the specific culture and systems of a practice. Every step described might not be right for every single practice, so proper consideration should be taken to ensure that thought is put in to each step to ensure the system is tailored to the specific type of practice and the goals of the practice.

This document further defines why companies need a quality program and provides descriptions for what needs to be included in a quality program along with what considerations every company can make to determine how to implement the program.
