PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This 6-story multi-family facility with ground level retail shops is located at Chrurchill Square in St. Johns. The Square contains two parallel rows of shops on each side of a parking area and for years has remained much more uniform on the east row which contains apartments on upper levels. This project contains the only 1-story buildings on the Square. Replacing the small over-parked retail facilities with the proposed building balances out the Square with the increased density of mixed – use development. The façade uses a ‘switch’ strategy to take advantage of preferred views from upper levels while maintaining privacy for each residence.
